The challenge for your payroll department will be to track the limits for this group of employees in a different way. In Trimble's Viewpoint Vista, the method to track catch-up limits across multiple deduction codes just got a whole lot easier a few years ago by assigning a Pre-Tax Group that stores the yearly limits to all the deduction codes that need to be added together to determine when to stop deducting because the limit has been reached. We used to have to use notifiers and manual processes to manage this. Now, it seems that we may have to go back to some of our manual processes again for this group of employees. We are hoping there will be a permanent solution in place before these employees start reaching the limit towards the end of next year.
