Trimble ID: Your New Way to Log into Vista
Many Vista users may have already received an email from Vista Trimble on the release of Vista’s Single Sign-On (SSO) with Trimble ID for Q1 2025. Many Vista users are already utilizing the SSO and many are still utilizing Classic Sign On. Existing SSO users will experience minimal changes. If you are like me and you are already using the SSO for Vista, you may be wondering what is different about this. The difference is that admins will no longer need to migrate users. Each user will have the ability to migrate their existing Vista credentials to Trimble ID.
The migration to Trimble ID for cloud customers will be gradual starting in early 2025, after the release of the Vista 2024 R1. Classic logins will gradually be removed from all Trimble Construction One Cloud-hosted Vista customers after the release of Vista 2025 R1.
So how does this Vista Trimble ID migration work?
There are a few requirements your organization must meet to utilize the self migration to the new Trimble ID.
- You are a Trimble Construction One cloud customer
- You are on Vista Web 24.10 or higher.
- You are on Vista 2024 R1 or higher.
- You have Trimble ID enabled in Vista. This requires Vista flipping a switch on the backend. Vista’s migration team will complete this step for you.
