Vista Help and where to find it...for free!!

For Vista users, old and new alike, we often forget there are lots of Vista resources available from Trimble as part of your Vista TC1 subscription. This is a short and sweet reminder of resources available to you.

• Online Help Manual. Vista's online manual can be accessed from within Vista or from any web browser.
  • From a web browser, surf to https://help.viewpoint.com/vista
  • From within Vista, you can press F1 on any field to access context sensitive help for the field you are in. You will be directed to the specific page in the manual pertaining to that field
  • Also from within Vista, you can select Help from the form menu. You will see 3 options
    • Field Help (same as hitting F1 on a field)
    • Form Help - Help section talking about the current form/program in a general way. Essentially explaining what the form does and usually has helpful links
    • Module Help - This takes you to the top of the module help. For instance, if you were in JC Jobs and selected Help/Module Help, you would be taken to the section in the online manual that discusses JC Jobs in general. You will find lots of information and links to help explain how to setup and process all things job related.
• Viewpoint Support. Trimble/Viewpoint has a comprehensive website dedicated to customer support via support case tickets, knowledgebase articles, and other newsworthy announcements. It is available from any web browser at https://suppport.viewpoint.com. You can also access it from with Vista from the Help menu and select one of the Support options. You do need a login which your company's Vista System admin can set up for you.

• Viewpoint Academy. There is a large catalog of training sessions in the Trimble Academy. You can even get certified in certain modules and print out a handy certificate letting others on your team know of your proficiencies in Vista. The Academy can be accessed in a number of ways.
  • From within Vista. Help Menu / Training. This will take you to The Academy login page.
  • From a web browser. https://academy.viewpoint.com
  • From a mobile app.
    • Apple - search for Trimble.Learn
    • Android - search for Go.Learn. Enter https://academy.viewpoint.com as the url.
• Viewpoint Network. Think of the Viewpoint Network as Facebook for Vista users like yourself. It's a great place to interact with other users and also see various updates and announcements. From within Vista click on Help / User Community / The Network. You can also surf to The Network here https://www.viewpoint.com/world-class-services-and-support/the-network.
